People

Fredrik Carlström is a creative director building brands and spaces fostering creativity and innovation. Founder of Alma, Park, and Austere, and a founding partner in Stockholm Stadshotell, he has been a creative force across advertising, film, design, and real estate for almost three decades. Born in Stockholm, his career began in the mid-nineties when he founded a creative agency known as the "enfant terrible" of the ad world. In 2000, he moved to New York to work in film and art, and he is the producer of “Destricted”, an anthology film series directed by Marina Abramovic, Richard Prince, Larry Clark, and Matthew Barney.

Ian Nicholson is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 30 years of international hotel management and development experience. Having spent the last twenty years collaborating with some of the industry’s most iconoclastic hotel visionaries, his expertise includes hotel concept, market positioning, underwriting, operational development, programming, pre-opening, and asset management with a focus on high-profile and unique independent properties. His background includes serving as CEO of the Faena Group, EVP of Operations for André Balazs (Standard, Mercer, Raleigh, and Chateau Marmont), Group General Manager of the Soho Grand and Tribeca Grand Hotels, and the Hudson Hotel for Ian Schrager.
